I have been dreading this day for many years. However, I have been carrying a heavy burden all by myself. I can no longer cope with this, and have decided to come clean once and for all, and to get it all out in the open by making my confession here on facebook. Had I only done this many years ago it would have been much easier for me and those around me. But I have quite simply been a despicable coward. So now I shall say it: Since getting married about 38 yrs ago our married life naturally had its normal up and downs on occasions. I was certainly not always right and cannot rely on this to justify what I have done. All that I can say so as to a least mitigate what I have done is that I do suffer from attention deficit and accordingly my mind wanders into strange pathways. This has been compounded by a somewhat adventurous spirit and an appetite for excitement. Having prepared your for what will now follow I would like you to take a deep breath and think for the moment whether any person is free of sin, and also whether the sin of conducting a clandestine affair should be elevated above other sins . What happened to me did not happen overnight. I am a normal man with normal feelings and urges. It simply crept onto me over time. The moment was right, the moment became repeated, we worked close together in the same business and could not help to bump into each other, and the chemistry was there from the first moment. Unfortunately I then succumbed on numerous occasions. I conducted an intense and ongoing affair and it has been consuming my entire life for decades. It has been completely and utterly unforgivable, and I am not looking for sympathy. I simply fell in love repeatedly, over and over again, with the same person. That person is my wife to whom I have been married for 38 years. My affair has been conducted with her. Please forgive me for having done what I did. I found her simply irresistable....
