I have been following Prayers for Carley Boo about a little girl battling cancer and is often a patient at St. Judes.....She reminds me of Olivia and has touched my heart...I think of my son-in-laws journey of countless tests, hospitalizations, the fears, sleepless nights...It is expensive to have a serious disease and I didnt realize just how much until Jeremy....He was also unable to work....It is $3.00 every time you park in the hospital deck..not much but if you visit several times a day for lengthy stays plus eating, it adds up....My daughter took family leave...your job is secure but you dont get paid...So many were so generous in helping my sweet family...My niece and her husband are running in the St. Judes marathon in Dec...They have raised thousands of dollars over the last few years that will help those little patients and their families....There are so many families living daily with different diseases that affect their lives...When you donate to any cause, someone is saying a prayer of thanksgiving.....
