I have been having some problems with my laptop since I returned from our 7 day trip. Had a RAM module go bad. Then Norton was blocking my internet browsers. I finally installed an update for norton and it uninstalled the corrupted one. Everything working great now. Our 7-day trip had very challenging fishing for the better grade Blue Fin Tuna. The first day, the area was not far from San Diego. We scratched a couple nice ones and lost a few. There was good sign so we stayed there for the second day. We scratched away at them again and had about 25 of them from 50 - 112 pounds. We then went on to Cedros and San Benitos Islands. San Benitos was good to us for limits of Yellowtail up to 30 pounds. We travelled up the coast for a Halibut drift at Geronimo for zip. Then moved on to a rockfish spot for about a cartload of nice red rockfish. The last 1 1/2 days were spent fishing the tuna pens for another 15 or so bluefin tuna and some small yellowfin. Thank you to Leadmasters for some swag along with our Big Rusty Hook raffle. Jackpot honors went to Joe Bosnich of San Pedro with his 112# Bluefin tuna, John Ahlstrom of San Pedro with his 103# Bluefin Tuna, and Fred Wanke with his 100.5 # Bluefin Tuna. Honorable mention to Ted Martizia of Lomita with his 100.0# Bluefin Tuna and Jerry Newman with is 98# Bluefin Tuna. High angler was Ed Rudolph with 6 bluefin from 50#-80# on a 300 gram Slash jig. Our 2015 trip is scheduled for Saturday, August 8th to Saturday, August 15th. Hopefully we will make the trek to Alijos Rocks.
