I have been thinking about the shooting at Ft. Hood, where once - TopicsExpress

I have been thinking about the shooting at Ft. Hood, where once again a trained killer killed a bunch of folks. Why does this surprise anyone ? It hasnt surprised me for the last 50 years. I am sad of course for the lifes that were taken. Does anyone but me stop to think how many lifes were taken previously by this man on deployment? Probably just as innocent, during an invasion of their country by our freedom fighters? I get a lot of folks who still get mad at me as they served an honorable term in the service. To me there is little honor invading others and killing them. Would I stand and defend our country? Yes Im doing that right now, and yes I would stand and fight if need be. I have defended myself with my fists, bats, and clubs when necessary. Just because one wears the colors of a nation, country, NATO, the actions of the insane are no cause for happiness. Forcing those combatants to murder and kill have such an impact on the fabric of our society. Why does anyone blink when the insanity of past behavior come into the current behavior. Why are a lot of our returning troops PTSD, and have other battle trauma that is not taken care of? Does the army help? Yes they help destroy, that is their mission. They can not repair, that is not their mission. I am grateful to be a free man, living to Gods standards the best I can. I am glad and thankful I never killed for my country. To all those who have served know you are my friends, we dont see eye to eye, but I give you grace and hope you give me grace. I respect life, everyones life. To my Vietnam era buddies, they were conscripted into service via the draft system. They had no choice, they were called and did what was expected of them. I dont know a single vet that is ok today. I love them, and pray they get well. In the mean time our country is out of control on every aspect of society, we are at war, drug wars, wars against our communities, the police think we are at war with them, the Indians, people of color, and now the classes have been fighting for 100s of years. Where and when will you become a human of peace? When is the nonsense enough? Do you want your children to face the assault of the decay of our country? It can all be stopped when we all say weve had enough. I for one have had enough. My actions show who I am and what I stand for. I can not be persuaded to tint my stance of peace. So today no matter what happens in the world, I am at peace, loving my wife, family and the life peace has made for me. I wish the same for everyone ..
