I have been working on this for several days now. An hour here, two hours there. My first foray into digital media drawing and I surprised myself by how much I learned by this process. It showed me why I have always been sort of a flop at these sorts of drawings with pencils. I have always had a difficult time getting depth with layering colors and I have discovered that I am an impatient artist. I do not take time and add enough under layers to make the paper be what I want. With digital layers I am able to add more below where I see a need, and it has really helped me figure out how I lacked this skill. I was going to wait til I was finished with it but I decided to post it, holes and all, to show how I am working. Layer by layer. And yes. Each hair has been individually drawn. I have about 4,284,928 to go - give or take. Scritch. Scritch. Scritch… This, btw, was based off a kitteh photo from a farmie. :) I will have to go back and find it. I dont know why it spoke to me but it did.
