Alison King 10 mins · Edited *****PLEASE READ THIS WHETHER YOU ARE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OR NOT***** Ok, so yesterday the very lovely Elaine Tasker who runs the Equine Market Watch sanctuary posted a very frank and heartfelt message on the sanctuarys wall. It gave great insight in to the struggle they are facing to keep carrying on and the fear associated with potentially not having the resources to do so. I can only imagine the daily stress and worry this causes and how hard it must be to keep going each year. We are going to have a special show in October and will raise as much money as we possibly can. Now, I know this group is full of wonderful, generous people. And I am asking you all to consider donating a small amount. I dont care how small it is. 20p, 50p, a £1 or whatever you can afford. Stick your hand down the back of the sofa, rifle through your pockets, have a look in your car or your change pot. Count out your coppers, log on to PayPal and send it to me. Small change can do big things for a charity like Elaines. You dont have to be an active member. But just by being here you are a part of this group. This group exists not just to award pretty ribbons and make people happy, but also to raise money. By being here you should embrace that. So, since we wont be kicking off Octobers comp for another 3+ weeks, I think a 3 day fundraise is in order. Simply PayPal me an amount you feel comfortable with and I will do the rest including regular updates on our running total. I have a hope that we can raise at least £500 over the course of the next few weeks. £500 will buy a lot of hay. If we raise more, brilliant. If we raise less, I wont be disappointed because everything helps. But its good to have a figure to aim for. There will also be a weekly raffle to be announced when I have got a list of prizes. But so far I have been offered a couple of truly unique items that cannot be found in the shops! Now go forth and hunt out your coins.
