I have finally succeeded: I have a meeting this week with the Chief Executive of Barnet Hospital. Only 4 months since my Dad died. This is after 2 news reports on BBC London News, 1 news report on Channel 5 News, 1 news report on BBC National News, 3 reports in the Jewish Chronicle and 1 news report in the Barnet Press. Also intervention by my MP and Jeremy Hunt, Secretary of State for Health....it still took 4 months! I had my meeting last week with the CQC. It went well and much was discussed on the way my Dad was cared for in his final days. They assured me that every hospital will have had inspections by December 2015. I can comment no further at the moment on this meeting. I have also had a follow up letter following my meeting with Barnet CCG - this arrived 2 days after my meeting and is very promising. I will keep you updated. S x
