I have just listed MORE SETS of Acetate Smoothers for sharp edges & smooth, flawless finish on your cakes - available in my etsy shop - see the photos below of a cake I made a few weeks ago, I added a few dents and scratches to the icing to show how well they smooth out. I even tried to emboss the side of the cake and it didnt work so I rubbed it off ... These little samples were done within an hour of icing the cake so the icing was still soft. I cant live without these when it comes to decorating now. PDF on ganaching, icing, sharp edges and smooth finish included with the set, I send this PDF when your set is packed ready for posting. I tried these on a buttercream crumbcoated cake last week. I put a very thin layer of buttercream on the cake, popped in the fridge to set and then iced the cake. The smoothers didnt get a perfectly sharp edge that you would get on ganache under the buttercream but ... they were very effective in getting out little dents and marks with a little smoothing. These are also great for using when stencilling royal icing on to a fondant cake.
