I have just returned home after a shift where I was shadowing a more junior staff member who is learning my job in order to be available to relieve in the position. Standing beside someone sitting in my seat, at the computer that I use, and interacting with the staff that I usually interact with and negotiating issues that I usually handle made me realise that I have a very interesting job. This concerns me as I had hoped it was actually boring, perhaps I just have an ability to be bored doing interesting things. Naturally I cannot possibly discuss the nature of the work for concern over the possibility of causing others interest.
