I have learned over the years that there are doctrines which we stand firm upon and there are others that we allow room for some differences. One example is eschatology (last things). We also have to remember that people are growing in knowledge and understanding of all doctrines. To be hard nosed all the time is a sin because it shows a lack of love and understanding. A pastor that does not understand this becomes an exterminator not a shepherd and is therefore no shepherd at all.
