Today, the City of Kissimmee officially opens the third and final phase of its Lakefront Park. The third phase includes 52 new boat slips, a splash pad featuring natural elements, a state-of-the-art playground and an event lawn which can accommodate 40 vendors with direct water and electric hook-ups. The completed 25-acre park includes 2 playgrounds, 15 pavilions, a fishing pier, a concession stand, a 100,000 square foot Civic Lawn, a wedding lawn and pergola, a community house, an 85,000 square foot Event Lawn, a fishing tournament area, a splash pad, 475 feet of boardwalks, a marina and bait shop with courtesy dock, and 52 floating docks available for long-term rental.
