I have started to post stories about crimes in Moreno Valley because there is lots of interest in them. Most posts on crimes get a minimum of 5,000 views.I understand why.. People want to feel safe in our community. This lets us know how safe we are. Today I want to show you that crime happens everywhere, not just Moreno Valley. These stories were published on PE over the weekend with the exception of the last one. The Corona arson happened in May and police are asking for the publics help in identifying the arsonist. 1) A night-time stabbing attack in Lake Elsinore killed a man, sheriff’s officials say. The assault was reported at 9:29 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, along Joy Street, about midway between Highway 74 and Machado Street. 2) A wheelchair-bound transient was found dead before dawn outside a Riverside barbershop, according to police homicide investigators. The discovery was reported at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, in a business complex just east of I-215 in a triangle formed by Iowa Avenue and Blaine Street. 3) A police dog put the bite on a suspected burglar who was hiding above a hardware store before dawn in Jurupa Valley, sheriff’s officials say.Thirty-year-old Jose Luis Gonzalez was arrested at 3:19 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, and booked for investigation of burglary and vandalism, jail records show. His bail is $5,000 4) Finally, this is a video shows a man starting a fire in a building in Corona. If there is anyone who needs more proof that security cameras are a good way to catch bad guys, they need to watch this video. Its amazing. You actually see the arsonist start the fire in the building. Its at the end of the three minutes. Once again, crime happens every where.
