I have struggled with this for some time, it is not just a blip on my radar! My son is a Law Enforcement Officer, he is also an animal lover with his family having four dogs of their own. One of our rescuers and Bravehearts personal photographer is in Law Enforcement. We know a Deputy whose dream is to have a rescue/shelter in a much needed rural area here locally. We are not saying that every single LEO is good, just like every single Lawyer, Doctor, Nurse, Mayor, public official, or any other person that walks and breaths is not always good. There are good and bad in every profession and I think it is best to share the good as well as the bad. We cant lump all of them into one pot, that wouldnt be fair to those who are doing and being the right thing for animal advocacy. It is dated May of 2012 but all of it still holds true and may give you more insight as to how to fight when an animal is unjustly shot.
