I have to get something off my chest and I am not sure who will see this but here goes..... I worked as an RN for 15 years, 10 in the Operating Room, 5 in Clinical Informatics...working at 4 different facilities during these 15 years. Today it hit me as I had my weekly call with the West Coast Regional Sales Director for Team Beachbody that professional Career Coaching is Non-existent in the Corporate world...sure I went to workshops but no one really to sat down with you and ask you your goals? Your financial goals, your rank goal (job title) and discussed whether you were crazy or on the right track and how the heck to reach them.. Keeping your priorities in alignment with your goals. You just went through the motions, had your yearly evaluation which was typically a year and a half later seeing if you met YOUR goals you set for yourself not knowing if they were realistic or not..... That was it just going through the motions, year after year after year..... Today it hit me that I cannot believe how blessed I am that a company that I was not hired at, that I chose to take part of, blesses ME with my own coaching support and has been for the last few years..... And this is not just one person. I have been blessed to work with 4 different Beachbody sales managers and directors all making sure my priorities are in alignment with my goals and making sure my goals are Realistic!!! What I cant understand is that in the professional world why dont they offer this kind of support.... Well simply because they go through the motions.... At least every place I have ever been at.... Crazy how having your own business brings you this...
