I have to say, no matter what I have gone through in my life these - TopicsExpress

I have to say, no matter what I have gone through in my life these last 2 years, one thing that has proved consistent for me is the support from my workplace. On top of having a wonderful career that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, I feel honored to work for a company that has been supportive, encouraging, and patient with my lifes nuances. I am at the point on my project where it is necessary for me to be available as we release the Spectrum Health and Priority Health web and mobile applications. My job is to test the functionality and the design of the website....to find any and all defects relating to the codebase. We are at the point of releasing our new app and now I have to take the next 2 weeks away from the office to get my health in order(just last month I had a cancer scare that kept me out for a few days). I didnt really know how to address needing to be gone that long at such a critical time, so when I called my manager, I wasnt sure how he would respond - I am a consultant and they can let me go at anytime since I will be out for an extended time. What I received made me feel needed. My Manager said I could work from home(they are used to me working from home often) until I have to return..as little or as much I am able. He said if my project team wants to replace me, they can and he would put me on another project, with no problem. What?!! So...I have all of my mobile devices that we use to test with me at home, I am able to VPN(connect to the SH network remotely) and continue to contribute to the performance of my team. Oh and by the way, the project team decided to keep me and make accomodations to collaborate with me while at home! I am soooo thankful to the Lord for granting me favor...he knew I REALLY needed it!!!!! #worklifebalance #thereissomegoodincorporate #grace #mercy #favor
