I havent been posting nay stuff lately because I was busy but I do have something that Id like to acknowledge centering on my ranking of the Star Wars films. After much pondering and studying into it, I declare Revenge of the Sith to be superior to both the original Star Wars and Return of the Jedi, making it my second favourite of the saga behind The Empire Strikes Back. Why? I feel that whilst Lucas did an excellent job with the original as well as Episodes I and II, I feel Sith is the the movie that really shows his skills as a filmmaker. The story is extravagantly emotional and epic, the acting is the best out of the whole saga (Ewan McGregor, Ian McDiarmid; hell, even Hayden Christensen were terrific), the philosophical workings of both the Jedi and the Sith are addressed compellingly, Yoda is fully branched out into a strong morally torn individual, Order 66 and Anakins fall were played out dramatically well and made me teary-eyed, its possibly the best looking Star Wars film visually and the ending is just magnificent. If only one Star Wars prequel deserves praise, I am ardent that Revenge of the Sith should be the one. It is a masterpiece.
