I hereby announce my regret for inability to pick numerous calls and reply messages forwarded since Friday to this hour and provide reasons. I was the APC returning official for my local government in the just concluded governorship polls in Osun State.I was at Ifelodun INEC office from 8am -12 pm on Friday representing the above mentioned party where INEC unbundled the electoral materials and all the parties representatives were allowed to write the serial numbers of all the ballot papers and Form EC 8A and VP as coded per each polling unit in the 12 wards in my local government before distribution of same to all the wards around 1am on Saturday and put under the vigilance of the security forces. For restriction of vehicular movement which hindered my inability to drive to my residence,I put up at a nearby treckable hotel from where I rested for about 4 hours before my resumption at INEC office at 6am on Saturday for collection and distribution of my party ward collation agents tags who would receive duplicate copies of Form EC8A from the partys polling agents and transfer same to me at INEC office to ensure accuracy of figures. After treking across wards to re-check serial numbers on the distributed ballot papers and in the process accredited in my polling unit 9 in ward 03 and voted around 3pm on the said Saturday, I resumed at INEC office 6pm to monitor collation of results and compared the announced figures with the already given duplicate copies of Forms EC8A and B at ward levels. After final collation and announcement of my Local Government result accurately by INEC, I appended my signature to the said result as contained in Form EC8C like every other party representative around 1.30am on Sunday and immediately drove to Government House,Osogbo for submission of duplicate copy of the said Form EC8C for tabulation of the results in the 30 LG from where in the presence of the SSG and other State officials,we listened to official announcement of results from each LG by INEC as televised by Channels TV and compared same with the tabulated result at hand. I drove back to Ikirun around 6am this morning and slept. I just woke up now to take my bath, supper and join jubilating crowd of party faithfuls. I commend INEC for its transparency in the exercise and a bit of neutrality on the part of security forces.
