I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We all sure did and are now getting ready to venture into the new year. 2015 is going to be awesome. I just know it! This is a pic of charlie from earlier today. My poor babe has had a rough past few days. He stared sounding really congested over the weekend. We went to visit the doctor yesterday. They put Charlie on antibiotics and gave us refills to get us through January. (YAY!!!) I gave him the first dose yesterday afternoon. All the junk in his lungs started coming up shortly after which is definitely a good thing but caused a very long night for the two of us. He fell asleep at 7 last night (way earlier than his norm) and I was like awesome sauce! After a day of breathing treatments every four hours, suctioning, and tons and tons on chest PT (beating on his chest and back to manually knock all the junk out), I was finally going to relax and watch the rest of Boardwalk Empire. But all the coughing kept him from sleeping too long. My poor babe woke back up at 9 pm coughing his brains out causing him to get gagged which cause lots of throwing up:( We were up all night! But he is feeling much better today. He slept for most of the day from 9 this morning till 4 in the after noon. And I got to squeeze a nap in myself:) we are still doing breathing treatments every four hours and lots of chest PT but the vomiting has stopped and the congestion has gotten a little better. I am so worried for Charlie this time of year with everything being passed around. My greatest fear is him getting pneumonia. The doctors told us from the beginning that charlie could possibly get pneumonia over and over again till his little body couldnt take it anymore. If you all could please say a prayer for him that would be great appreciated! Lastly, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who sent Charlie, Cohen, and I gifts for Christmas this year. Yall truly made our holiday extra special. A few days before Christmas, Jen McPhaul (one of the kindest persons I have ever met) pulled into our driveway with a car load of wrapped presents she had gathered form lots of different people. She might as well have been in a Santa costume with 8 reindeer pulling her SUV. I am not exaggerating what so ever. It was amazing!!! I hadnt cried that hard and smiled so big at the same time in a very long time. Im tearing up a little bit now just thinking about it. And a big big thank you to the Italian Ladys Club and the Germantown Fire Department for what yall have done for me and my boys. I dont know how I would have had Christmas for my boys this year if it werent for you all. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by people like you. It is people like you that make this world an awesome place to be and for that I am thankful. I love you all very much and God Bless!
