I just dont even know what to say. My friend Jimmy J T Trujillo has apparently passed away yesterday. One of his last acts on this earth was to wish me a happy birthday. He was such a beautiful, generous person. I recall that he came down to play a fundraiser concert for me when I ran for election to the school board, and it was a TREAT. I always looked up to him as a musician and professional, and we were so blessed to have him on some of the last few Gumbo le Funque gigs recently.
