I just have to give a big shout out to Saddleback Memorial - TopicsExpress

I just have to give a big shout out to Saddleback Memorial Hospital AND to anyone who works in the medical field. Last night was an incredible blur with the panicked rush to the ER, then a big earthquake shortly after we arrived. It was so late and I was so tired, that I didnt catch the names of the wonderful ER staff that helped me and Mateo last night. Everyone there was SO SO SO wonderful and sweet to us. They were genuinely concerned for him, patient, gentle when touching him, and extremely supportive and encouraging to ME! Looking back on the night, Im picturing the faces of the people who listened to his heart, gave his breathing treatments, drew his blood, and took his temperature. To have a job like that, where you see a lot of suffering day in and day out, especially in babies and children, and still be able to execute your duties flawlessly and with compassion, takes a very special kind of person I think. The nurses were having trouble taking blood from Teos uncooperative veins. It took a long time, and a lot of patience and it SUCKED for my little guy but they finally got a draw. I cant even FATHOM having to do that on anyone, let alone a little sick baby. You guys in the medical field are truly special people. Im just feeling very thankful that we had a good experience even though it was a terrible situation. I wish there was a way to thank the ER doctor. They discharged us and I couldnt find her...
