If the nut holding the spring barrel on a Columbia Eagle isnt tight enough the entire barrel will spin at a certain tension, making an idiot (that would be me) believe that the spring barrel is broken... Hold a wrench on the nut while tightening the spring and it will cooperate and save you a bunch of money. Does anyone have a need for a perfectly good Columbia Type B spring barrel? $100.00 plus shipping. Ill eat the crow by myself. What a jackass I can be at times.
