I just.listened to THE PIANO GUYS performing The Mission/How Great Thou Art. They are wonderful. I remember seeing the movie The Mission and thinking how beautiful and poignant the music was. The theme just gets inside you and wraps itself around your soul. You are totally in the sound. There is a science in the movie ( set in a rain forest) where the priest who has traveled to this remote area of South America to convert the people there. The story is wonderful. Anyway, this theme is played as the priest who has been put on a cross goes over a water fall head first. The music, the story, and the scenery blend into one of the most memorable movie scene ever filmed. The priest is played by Jeremy Irons. Robert DeNiro is also in the movie. I am wondering if the Piano Guys played the music for the movie. Such fantastic music can be heard today. You just have to search You Tube as one source. Absolutely fantastic. Also look up organist Cameron Carpenter. Genius. That is not my classification. That classification comes from his Julliard professors where he received his masters. Great watch his feet!
