I just looked at the Academy Award nominations. The Grand Budapest Hotel got a lot of them. Laurie and I almost walked out of the movie because it was soooooo bad. It seems to me to be a case of cinematic Emperors New Clothes. There is no There there. I have spoken. On the other hand, Monuments Men has gotten little attendance and we thought it was a terrific story and an important story. Kudos to George Clooney for making the film. It has more merit in the credits than the Gland Buttpest Motley has in the entire wasted 2 hours.
