I just need to share this with you all. I work retail and the past - TopicsExpress

I just need to share this with you all. I work retail and the past 4 days are the busiest shopping days of the year. Every year I am stunned as to the behavior of people in the stores. Its a season of giving. I dont see that when people are at the checkouts yelling about prices, screaming at their children for being naughty (and they are just tired because they have been dragged out of their beds to shop for 12 hours) and flat out being rude. This includes the stampede of people who trampled others to get something before another did. Many have died because of frenzies like this. I find this all disgusting and I find it just as disgusting that stores do not put a halt to it. It tells me the almighty dollar speaks more that the true meaning behind Christmas. When will this all end? When will we celebrate Christmas for what it is and not for our own selfishness? Our society is to blame for this and only our society can change it. It all starts with you. Instead of expensive presents for your family, teach them how to give to others. Show them how to help the needy, invite a homeless person or family over for dinner, or just a simple random act of kindness, not just during the Christmas season but all year round. Gifts from the heart are always better than anything you can buy at a store. We all need the wake up call and we all need to show more love, peace and respect. Please give it a try...pay it forward and share this post.
