I just received word that one of my former students/football players passed away this weekend. I remember meeting Wayne and his family at their home for the first time when he was a freshman. I was Waynes position coach and we created an unbreakable bond in our short time together. Wayne loved to play around but he also possessed a strong work ethic. I remember standing in the weight room and telling him that I would help him be the best at whatever he put his mind toward. Going to the power lifting meets and watching him succeed made me feel like a proud father. He would always come in my room and ask where he ranked in the state for his weight class. Always looking to get bigger,faster and stronger than the competition. I have never seen a high school athlete run the curves like he did in the 200 with such fluidity and grace. The coaches from the other schools were shocked to find out he was just a freshman. I will always remember Wayne, RIP Wayne Freighttrain Foston John 14:1-3 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Fathers house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
