I just want to say that I have learned a tremendous amount from the members of this group over the last couple of weeks about various issues that pertain to Port Alberni and the surrounding area. Weve had great accessibility to a number of candidates and have been given the opportunity to provide direct questions and feedback. With election days upon us it would be a real shame to lose this group. There are other Facebook groups (such as AV Chatterbox, Rant & Rave, and Valley Boosters) but those tend to be general chatter not specifically related to civic issues. Is there any chance this Facebook group could remain in tact following the election and perhaps renamed to Port Alberni Civic Matters or something to that effect? If candidates were to get elected to city council and the Mayors chair would you still participate in this group as a means of keeping doors of communication open?
