I know some of you might think this is strange coming from me. But - TopicsExpress

I know some of you might think this is strange coming from me. But two men who I do admire are Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. Fidel was a very well educated man. Very well educated man. By trade he was a lawyer and very problematic. Fidels problem was not Fidel, but rather the people who were around him. I strongly feel if he had not surrounded himself with many of the people he did. Cuba today would be in a very different position. When you compare Fidel to other communist leaders like Mao, Kim Sung-Il, Kim Jung Il, most of the Eastern European leaders and some of the Soviet leaders except for Mikhail Gorbachev. Fidel was way more educated and had way more experience. But to many of the people around him didnt. Che Guevara was also a man like Fidel. I think if he had not been assassinated things would have also turned out differently. There are many left-wing Latin American leaders like the late Hugo Chavez and others who try to model themselves after Fidel and Che. But they are not even pale comparison. Not even cheap copies. Che and Fidel really believed in what they were trying to achieve. The others say they do, but in reality are just a bunch of opportunist dictators who are doing it for themselves and no one else.
