I know that youre all anxious to know when the rally will be. Im currently trying to work out when would be the best time to have one. We want as many happy people there as possible and we want to have an atmosphere similar to that of the Yes rallies over the past week. There are a number or factors to take into account. 1) If we have it too soon, people will still be mourning about the result and it wont be a particularly good atmosphere 2) If we leave it too long, people will lose interest in having one. Then again, in general, the only people who would come to such a rally are committed Yessers 3) Purely for safety and media portrayal reasons, we need to give at least a few months for everything to settle down. We dont want the Orange Order turning up and trying to start a fight. 4) I believe we should have the rally on a significant date(March, the would-be independence day, or September 19th). I personally prefer the latter. Especially since I want it to be an annual thing, I think referendum time would be appropriate. Im going to give it a few weeks to see the response and let the page grow a bit before a final decision is made. Im totally open to suggestion, so let me know about any thoughts you have.
