I know theres already a lot of controversy over law enforcement lately. But, in life, I encourage everyone to always play devils advocate. Just because our news feed is blowing up with law enforcement being bad guys, school shootings, murders, house fires...As I drive to school passing by all these fire Landrieu campaigns, and pro-life signs, it could make us feel that life is a huge controversy and theres so much negativity in the world. But theres always another argument, theres always another point, another opinion, and being unbiased and open-minded is one of my favorite parts of this human experience. I hope we all watch this video, and understand, the fear going through this State Trooperss energy. He was not looking to kill this man, he didnt chase after him in a fitted rage after he was shot. He didnt want any lives lost. Watching this video, were all witnesses to what these men were experiencing. The trooper didnt get angry we he was shot. He didnt scream or yell. But unfortunately, the more you soak your time in media and what others tell you, its easy to be under the impression, especially lately, that law enforcement officers are a bunch power-control-freaks that can kill people and get away with it. Im absolutely not trying to belittle or take way from the heated topics of Ferguson or Mr. Eric Garner. Both of these stories left me very heavy-hearted but I wanted to remind everyone, that just because these stories spread a similar message, theres always just as many stories, that share an opposing perspective. I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL DAY! I LOVE YOU ALL!
