I, like many young, 20 somethings, take the word of South Park as gospel. I am guilty. But Id like to take this time to propose that we all use the frontal lobe of our brains, and think critically, not only about the messages that South Park has to offer, but also about the position South Park has put itself in. Holding so much power over our thinking as they do is not good for us as a collective. It allows us to be mislead, manipulated, swayed without the consent of our higher consciousness. So this isnt to attack South Park, as they tend to portray societys problems accurately, albeit through the lens of sarcasm, so much as it is to attack our placement of the show upon a pedestal and accept its dialogue as golden truth. /s? P.S. Facebook keeps posting notifications saying I have X many new views! And I dont believe them. I think facebook is purposefully like a clingy ex-girlfriend that cant stand it when it is ignored and that this is their ploy to get me to post. But this is my counter tactic.
