I like this. I like that he is reasonable, articulate, and not melodramatic. I also like the primary point: personal responsibility. It has long been my drumbeat no matter your race. What I dont like is the feeling I have in our America today that somehow, as a white person of privilege, my posting this would be perceived as racist. Thats what it seems to have come to. Thanks Dave James for not indulging that extremist polarity and emboldening me to share something I enjoyed watching and contemplating. Yes, this issue is difficult. But if we refuse to engage thoughtfully and only fall back to you suck! no, you suck more! then we remain a society no further advanced than a primary school playground.
