I love my girlfriends, every single one of them! I especially love when they are boldface lying to themselves about what they can and cannot have in life! Today at the farmers market I met up with one of my bffs! The entire conversation between us was centered upon the fact that her new guy was not her perfect match. She is breaking it off yet she is completely in love with him! Her reasons are that they are too different! She is a vegan he is not, he is a world class swimmer, she cant swim. He is an adventurer and she is a book worm who loves to stay at home. I know many of you will say those are some pretty big discrepancies. And yes, I agree however my response to her was simple and given to her in two simple questions and one comment. Do you love him? Do you see yourself marrying him? THEN MAKE IT WORK....FLOW WITH IT! Look ladies if your into a man and you are doubting your chances of having a long lasting relationship with him because you are from two opposite ends of the spectrum chances are he will begin to doubt the two of you too! What ever happened with going with the flow?! And for lords sake please dont go and try to mold him into what you want. This only makes him resent you! You also end up not liking the masterpiece you have created! I can honestly say that the best relationship I ever had ( lasted 10 years) was with a man that I was the COMPLETE opposite of! The one time I was paired up with another health nut it was clearly mismatched! I dont expect her or anyone to take advice from me however I will say this. If a man is strong enough to be himself in front of you and show up as the loyal, loving creature that God has placed along your path....APPRECIATE HIM & LET IT FLOW
