I may have been a 60s kid not 50s but Rural Wisconsin made all this possible for me! I feel Very sorry for the kids of today, that only go outside to get to school or come home. Have bikes they havent ridden in years & freak out if cable or internet goes out. Let alone their cell phone break!!! That seems like Armageddon to them. To this day I still dont own $100 sneakers or pay retail for ripped up jeans. I rather recycle something cool from a thrift store than bring ANYTHING made in China in my house! I thank The Lord I grew up when I did! I love the smell of a hay barn just filled, rhubarb & raspberries tastes best right from the stalk/bush with dirty fingers. Hmmmmm..... So many things lost along the way. Id trade my IPad & IPhone any day for walk through Ben Franklin 5 and dime or McCrorys!
