I met a woman named Donna not too long ago on a professional - TopicsExpress

I met a woman named Donna not too long ago on a professional level. We met, chatted it up for about an hour (having nothing to do with the business at hand) and connected; I felt as though I had known her for years. What a lovely soul she is. We intended to meet again to solidify our business plans and it seemed that at every turn, there was life getting in the way and we were unable to meet. No worries; we would connect when the time was right. I received a call from a mutual friend of ours about 7 weeks ago with an apology from this lovely soul to me that said, Donnas husband was just diagnosed with Cancer. Its bad and she is so sorry she hasnt been able to contact you. Of course, that apology was the last thing that was needed given what they as a couple, as a family, were facing in a blink of an eye. I sent my love, best wishes, and sat in quiet reflection trying to send healing light directly to them all. Yesterday I received a call from that same mutual friend; Donnas husband had passed. Approximately 7 weeks from diagnoses to death and that news hit me luck a truck and I wept for her. I wept like she was my dearest friend; as though I had known them both for years. I wept as though my tears could evaporate into the universe and find their way to her and wrap her in warm and gently compassion. The truth is, I also wept for her because in many ways we are all Donna. Within the magic and beauty of life, we are all potentially one breath away from receiving news that will drop us to our knees and steal our breath away. So tonight, before I lay my head to bed, I will sit in quiet prayer for she and her family. I am asking that you all do the same...even if only for one thought, a quiet whisper on the wind, or until to slip off to sleep. Stepping outside of our own self imposed confines of logical thought, it is my belief that those thoughts WILL find their way to her and help, even in the slightest way, ease her pain. The magic also lives in the fact that when we do that for others, it can ease some of our pain also. Thank you beautiful friends and have an amazing night!
