Well based on yesterdays results todays trip most likely fell short of expectations but we had a very solid cod trip when you look at the total catch. Some guys had their limit, some had 5-7, some had 2-4 and some got the goose egg. Unfortunately with the nicer weather came a slower drift. Wed stop on a pile, catch a few, then nada, they werent following us for a mile like yesterday. Barring a few excellent drifts, we scratched and clawed all day. We had a few steakers and probably had about 300 shorts as well. James Renzo took 2nd with an 18lber and Chris Zaddock took 1st with a hefty 22. Once again we had a good showing of fish between 8-12 lbs. Jigs out caught bait but most gave up on them in the slower morning bit. Those that stuck with it like bassmaster Capt. Walter of the Fishfinder out of Captree were well rewarded with a limit of fat green cod. Some pics, more to follow:
