I missed yesterday.... Yesterday, I thanked God for my sweet, understanding and loving family. On a day that is usually a day spent having fun together, at 2:00 it was as if a switch was flipped.....I felt great and then I was curled up in a ball in bed, incapacitated with a severe headache, loud vocal tics, impaired balance, slurred speech, and the feeling of lightning running through my body. I didnt get out of bed until this morning...a new day. My loving husband and sweet kids have gotten use to the routine and they each took turns coming in to replace my ice-packs, massage my legs, or just lie with me and cuddle throughout the day and night. They would guide me to the restroom to make sure I didnt fall, and they would help me sit up when I had to take my medicine. Im so blessed to have them. Today, I thank God for his courage, as I have kept the days like yesterday hidden from the world since my mild brain injury 6 1/2 years ago, but God has called on me to start sharing...start educating about this invisible and epidemic problem. Through His mercy and grace, there are better days ahead.
