I must confess that am never always balance in the position I take on most political issues. I would have wished to be more balanced or simply neutral. I have always admired people that are able to look at a political subject and analyze it without letting their own views come in the way of the analysis. This specie is however very small. One of the hottest topic trending currently in Kenya is whether the government or specifically President Uhuru Kenyatta handled the recent terror attack in the best way possible. People have already drawn lines with some taking tribal inclinations while other getting washed in the emotional floods and saying that this is not the right time for such arguments. My verdict - there will never be a better time. The spotlight is currently being pointed at the people Mr. Kenyatta entrusted at the helm of different organizations charged with the responsibilities of protecting the country. Questions are being asked. Is Ole Lenku, Gichangi and Iringo the right people for those posts? Are we going to see any shake up in these major departments or life is going to move on as if nothing happened? It is too early to make a final analysis and prepare a score card on this. Marks will however be awarded after analyzing how the government handled the situation starting with the initial time, during and after the attack. But for whatever happens, the government has a tough task convincing doubters like me that it is doing enough to ensure my safety.
