I need help, whether Greenpeace can affiliate with this or not, Im not sure, but I do need a handful of activists in North Tyneside who are passionate about maintaining our green spaces. This is where I live and have done for 16 years, at the time of purchase, all residents were promised that the green area opposite our homes would not become yet another space for cramped housing, and now ISOS intends to ruin the landscape by doing just that. Besides the fact this is devastating for all of us because were losing the closeness of the community by barriers, its also going to ruin the landscape and take away yet more green space which my estate already has very little of. At present we are all looking for the right ammunition to fight the council and ISOS with lots of residential meetings and research. But I would love it if I could organise a small demo on the land in the near future and get the papers and more people behind us to stop these big companies from destroying the landscape. We are already at huge risk of flooding and the ground they intend to build on was once marsh so its not safe and its not fair that these uncompassionate people should be putting everyone at risk to fill their pockets.
