I now have a brother in heaven. For 25 years Hoss Griffey was my friend and brother in Christ. We ministered shoulder to shoulder rigging lighting trusses, carrying stage sets, setting speakers, sound boards, and unloading trailers for the 42 Christian Rock concerts festivals we promoted. He was passionate about ministering to the Christian artists who traveled to East Central Indiana during the Fire Escape ministry years and also the technical guru for our radio and television broadcasts. Hoss was always there! Always ready to minister! Always a friend and partner in ministry! Hoss earned the title Dr. Gadget! because he could take a paper clip, roll of duct tape and create a TV Camera (just kidding of course). The good Doctor was always ready to solve our technical challenges. He was also a kidnapper!!!! During our radio days, he actually kidnapped Peter Furler of the News Boys, dragged him into the Fire Escape Broadcast trailer (Which Hoss constructed), so we could do a live radio interview. This was one of many remote broadcasts engineered by the good doctor. When the final curtain closed on the Fire Escape, Hoss preserved the memories in his basement. I love my brother Hoss and will miss him very much. Please pray for his family as this is an incredibly difficult time for them.
