I often receive hate mail from fundamentalist Christians and conservative evangelical Christians telling me that I dont believe the right things about God in order to be a Christian. Similarly, I frequently encounter atheists who insist that I cant believe in God if I dont believe what *they* say I need to believe in - in order to believe in God and be a Christian. Ironic and surreal. Both of those those camps tend to be ill-informed about progressive Christianity -- and refuse to accept what they do know of it.
