I painted this card for work, completely from what they bought me - TopicsExpress

I painted this card for work, completely from what they bought me as a leaving present (second photo), plus white that I already had. The paint set came with one brush, so Ive only used that, hence the primitive style of the painting. The third photo is the leaving card that they made for me. Start of the letter I sent in with the card, praising the work of Peanutlo Brockaso ;) Sorry for the delay in writing to thank you for the lovely leaving presents and card, although several already know that I thought the card was wonderful, so much so that I asked the perpetrators to send me the electronic copy and its now my Facebook profile picture. As for the paints etc, I didnt want to simply say thanks without trying them out, and unfortunately mid-cull wasnt a realistic time to be a-painting. Five days after the cull finished we were booked to come down the caravan for the final week of the season so I brought everything with me with the grand idea of painting you a picture, but as Im new to this painting malarky I didnt feel confident. Fortunately I was able to engage the services of that most famous of badger artists, Peanutlo Brockaso, who luckily for me, works for peanuts!!!! I explained that I wanted him to use only the pencils, paints and brush that you had given me and we discussed him painting Badger Hood, but given the poor light when he emerges from his sett, combined with no opposable thumb and using only one size of brush we settled for the simple but striking Thank you canvas. The picture on the card captures the moment Peanutlo completed the commission and you can clearly see that he was using the paints you gave me. OK, now weve established that my wackiness hasnt altered since you last saw me, to bring you up-to-date as to what Ive been up to: I actually painted it A4, then David scanned it for me and printed it out on photographic paper at A6.
