I posted this on Toshiba Australia and New Zealands site an hour or so ago and its disappeared, so I thought Id post it here instead. To whom it may concern at Toshiba Australia, After a great experience with my first Toshiba laptop I have since had 2 (not inexpensive) Toshiba laptops Satellite L550 ($1750), Satellite 850C (around $700), which have suffered sudden, inexplicable and catastrophic hard drive failures way too early in their life. Going online to see if I could try and rectify the problem I saw that numerous people on forums had suffered the same problems. Since Im unable to find a feedback email address on Toshiba ANZs website I just want to let you know that, having given Toshiba the benefit of the doubt after my experience with my second laptop, I will never ever buy another Toshiba laptop. I will also tell my friends and family not to buy them. Im not at all surprised that pcmag lists Toshiba laptops as the least reliable laptops under a year old: pcmag/article2/0,2817,2452946,00.asp Usually Im incredibly loyal to a brand but, as I said, I will NEVER buy a Toshiba laptop again.
