I pray every day ... though not to some preconceived notion of a sky daddy, nor earth mother ... I pray to the divine balance of all, the masculine, the feminine, the void, the chaos ... I pray to the eternally entwined & inundating energy of all that is throughout all time & space, throughout every dimension and degree of perception & expression, the material and immaterial ... the omniverse as some have began calling creation in its entirety ... the great dragon as the ancients called it. But I never pray for relief from trials and hardships ... why would I ask that my lesson cease before I even have gained the reward of strength & understanding it was intended to give me? Nor do I pray that others be given such relief, only that they find their way through whatever mountains they must climb and overcome. No, all I ever ask for myself from the dragon is words ... give me the words to in turn give away and help others see. So long as I am given words and the will to use them so that others may better themselves and find their way out of darkness, I am eternally blessed and thankful. ;) 8
