I realized this when Copper was puppy but having a pet, especially a dog is like having a baby. Babies cry when they need their diaper changed, want to be fed, when they want attention/to be played with, etc. You have do go down the list to figure which thing needs to be done according to their cry. Well with dogs, especially Copper it is pretty much the same way. He barks when he wants to go outside to do his business, when he is hungry or wants some water and when he wants to play. I have to go down the list to figure out what his bark is trying to tell me. For an hour last night he kept barking and whining at me. I thought each time he needed to go outside. Come to find out he wanted water........poor baby!
