I really hate getting on Forums to try and figure out a problem - TopicsExpress

I really hate getting on Forums to try and figure out a problem and you think you have found the jackpot, so do what someone says on some thread, like deleting all files indicated and resetting the computer before attempting to startup the program you are trying to fix. Only to get a message like "Steam needs to be online to update but was set to offline mode." .... Ok well this is fantastic. Now i have to get back on forums and find a completely different thread to try and figure out how to fix this knew problem only to find a thousand more hoops to jump through... Why cant people just be really helpful and be like "Hey, delete all these files except these two and this .exe and then reboot. IF YOU THEN HAVE A PROBLEM SUCH AS "Steam needs to be online to update but was set to offline mode." ... You then need to do all this extra shit and Modify the Binary Data for the program, you got to set it to 0... heres how to do it, just so you dont have to look this up when you really dont know what you are trying to look up. Cheers" Internet makes shit easy.... people make it difficult. I always try not to put anything helpful anywhere unless i a) put all required details for all variables possible known to me. or b) Add and email address so if people need extra help they can email me directly. I Try to be a generally helpful person, if i can help you, i am more than willing to do so and i will do it properly. If you jsut want me to fix something and you dont care how its done i will do it if i am able, if you want to know how its fixed i will gladly explain it to you to the best of my ability. My problem seems to fixed but i am a little annoyed that i couldnt readily find all information to do so when it was a mere two paragraphs of very simple and explanatory information, only spread out across three different threads...
