I received an e mail from a true Patriot, friend and long time Save America Foundation member on the problem facing Floridians with the Common Core Standards being pushed by Jeb Bush and others. This is a Communist based system and is something that we do not want anywhere near our schools and our kids. Good Morning Fred, I am working with an ever growing group of men and women here in Florida who are solidly against the new Common Core Standards. We have found the legislation in Tally being presented that encourages/moves along the implementation of the Standards are being rushed through and any trying to slow it down ignored. Yet at the same time, (I was there this week) I had legislators tell me repeatedly they know little to nothing about the Common Core Standards or what that is going to entail for the state. If we address the cost to taxpayers alone it is going to be in the billions. Bill Gates has not invested all this money on something like this and not be expecting a great return. The Common Core Standards are evil, and a communist based curriculum to dumb our children down into a school-to-work mentality. We have to stop this. I thought of you as maybe having an idea of where we could look for some funding. We have someone who is willing to work as a lobbyist until the end of session (he is a lobbyist) to really educate the legislators and he is fully knowledgeable regarding the thinking of the different legislators and how to get to them. There is also the yearly Home School Convention coming up in Jax of which we would like to obtain a booth to get out flyers and talk to the parents there warning them this is going to affect Home Schooling also. Speed is important in this mess as Jeb Bush is also pushing it with a vengeance and his lap dog our Commissioner of Education Tony Bennett.
