I recently got tagged by a few lovely ladies to post 5 photos of myself that make me feel beautiful. It made me begin thinking about what the word beauty means to me. How do I, personally, perceive beauty? I experience beauty as the expression of my spirit in the light. I experience beauty in a similar way that I experience being in love. Truly I find beauty in absolutely everything. Just the simple fact that anything exists at all is beautiful from my perspective. Patterns and geometry in and of themselves are beautiful and everything is made up of layers upon layers of them. Macro to micro, each layer, a dance between energy and atom, a dance between light and experience. It seriously blows my mind all the time. I make an effort every day to apply this on a personal level, relate it to my own biology, my own mind, and my own spirit, and remind myself of the wonder and magic that is my own human existence with countless dynamic and complex systems working in symbiosis at all times, constantly creating and sustaining, healing and maintaining, growing, dying, purging, regenerating and transforming. I am grateful beyond words for every moment I am blessed to exist within this incredible experience of living, loving, breathing, sharing light, and sharing life. There is a certain kind of pure, childlike joy that comes with the experience of true beauty for me. It fills me up and helps me follow the light no matter how dark times may be. I strive to embody that joy and spread the resulting light and love as far and as wholeheartedly as possible. I feel beautiful when I am living in harmony with my true self and in harmony with the cosmic flow of all life. I find strength, unity, confidence, and deep, soulfully satisfying peace through this experience of harmony. I see these photos as representative of this truth in my life.
