I remember one day driving a nail with a hammer and the hammer slipping off the head of the nail hitting my finger. The pain radiating through my finger at up my arm. Oh how did it hurt. Unimaginable pain will cause an indescribable response. ( I didnt cuss but cried Jesus that hurt). But what followed after astonished me, the area under my thumbnail had become dark and after a period of time my fingernail came off. At first I was troubled and alarmed because my fingernail was coming off but then an old wise man looked at it and said to me: The fingernail was damaged so it had to come off for a new fingernail to take its place. Life has a way of hitting us with blows that bring discoloration and loss in an attempt to stain us for life. But just like I lost my damaged fingernail and a new one replaced it. Your damaged life is going to be replaced with a new life. If any man be in Christ he is a new creature; old things (old life) is passed away and behold all things become new(new life)... ~Levaughn Flanders Jr
