I resonate so totally with this review of the Fox bid for Time Warner that I am tempted to memorize it, as if people still memorized things. I still get magazines -- The Economist -- and my must read newspapers,the FT and (for local news) the SCMP. But increasingly I read them on line and my first line of defense is the digital edition of the New York Times, where I read David Carrs fine review of the almost-end of print journalism. Not the end of print, of course. We can still read Ulysses. If we can get off our phones for long enough.
