I sat in a sacred sweat lodge this weekend and prayed for the entire planet, for my own family, for all my brothers and sisters around the globe, and for all sentient beings. I prayed for the souls of those animals who have sacrificed their lives to bring the worlds attention to the horrors of whaling and dolphin drives. I prayed that all animals hunted and held captive for human pleasure, end, and I asked for forgiveness for all those souls who really dont know any better from the energetic space they are encased in; those who continue to rape each other, the earth, her animals and her spirit because they are of a particular vibration. I prayed that they wake up, become conscious and see the error of their ways. I whispered the hawaiian chant Thank you, I am sorry, Please forgive me, I love you, my tears and sweat soaking the porous soil I sat upon. I emerged from the space changed, from one portal into another, and feeling more powerful than ever. I lay on the ground and saw the tree spirits, understood the Kookaburra calling to acknowledge my journey, felt the breeze move through my skin on one side of my body and flow out the other side as if I was being breathed by Gaia herself. Now this morning, I see that the WA shark cull has begun, despite (worldwide) scientific and public outcry: the first victim a beautiful female tiger shark. My heart and soul will continue to bleed as long as this goes on, and my immediate human reaction is naturally one of wrath and anger, but despite my despair I am choosing to stay in my meditative state and continue to pray for the end of such ignorance, cruelty and fear based practices. I will pray that balance is restored peacefully and permanently and trust that our global Elders have got this covered. Please join me, wherever you are around Gaia, and pray to The Great Spirit for an end to all this madness. Now. Send your love and your energy. And know that prayer is a powerful conduit. It is no less an action than physically doing. It supports those activists who are out there doing the work, and it raises your personal power, which will ultimately connect and empower us all. Namaste.
